The size of the liver and pancreas can affect the risks of diabetes, as well as the increase in the content of adipose tissue in them. This is stated in the study of British scientists from Brunke University, published in Diabetes Care.
According to scientists, an increase in the amount of fat by 5 percent provoked the risk of diabetes by 27 percent. In addition, people with a genetically determined small volume of the pancreas are also located in the risk area, the study says.
Previously, specialists of the American Academy of Dermatology warned that diabetes has a detrimental effect on each of the human bodies, including the skin.
