Kazakhstani law enforcement officers from the National Security Committee detained four immigrants from Africa, presumably participating in the police attack. This was reported by the press service of the department.
The detainees are suspected of attacking the police department of Taldykorgan in Almaty region, as well as participating in mass riots and robbery in Alma-Ata. In total security officers together with the border guards caught eight people, four were citizens of the Central African Republic (CAR). All detainees are transferred to the police.
Earlier, the President of the Republic of Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev said that foreigners were involved in the unrest in the country.
