One of the specific results of the negotiations of Moscow with the United States and NATO for security guarantees in Europe can be considered Washington’s readiness to discuss the new regime on medium and smaller range missiles (RSMD). This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.
The diplomat stressed that the Russian side is ready to discuss this issue with the West, but not in the separation from the issue of the non-exposure of the North Atlantic Alliance east. According to him, Moscow asked US and NATO to record their stated readiness for negotiations on the RSD.
Previously, Lavrov called the past negotiations by business, despite the uncompromising position of the West position. He noted that the Russian side, in turn, no less firmly stood on his own, leading the arguments that the United States and NATO. The diplomat was hoping that in Washington, the results of the meetings were reflected.
