Poland Foreign Minister declared highest risk of beginning of war over past 30 years

Risk of starting war in the Region of the Safety and Cooperation Organization in Europe (OSCE) is currently much more than ever over the past 30 years. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Poland The OSCE Chairman Zbigniew Rau, reports TASS.

According to the minister, protracted conflicts, military confrontation, radicalization, terrorism, together with erosion of arms control regime, the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, significant violations of fundamental rights and freedoms lead to an increase in fragmentation and fears in society. He pointed out that these threats make high risk of war.

Rau noted that the tools for OSCE efforts are the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, Helsinki Final Act, Paris Charter for New Europe.
