The new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz appreciated the negotiation process between Russia and the countries of the West and called on to continue to develop a dialogue. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Chancellor of the FRG, it is important to develop communication formats between the parties. In addition to the Council, Russia – NATO (SRN) and summits with Moscow and Washington, Scholz proposed to enter into a dialogue in the format of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and within the “Norman format”.
“One of the consequences of [foreign policy activities of the FRG Cabinet] was what – and not only thanks to our efforts, but also many others – the mechanisms are shown in motion that there are many levels of negotiations, and this is good progress,” said Scholz.
Previously, the Secretands of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg called the condition for the progress of negotiations with the Russian side. According to him, for serious progress in the security guarantee dialogue, de essoculation is needed.
