For indexing pensions, 8.9 percent will require additional funds, but the source of funding has already been determined, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov. He told about it in a conversation with “Ribbon.ru.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to index pensions above the inflation rate – by 8.6 percent. According to the head of state, the earlier decisions are not sufficient and do not allow to cover the costs of pensioners caused by price increases.
Additional means
Obviously, to implement such a commission of the president, it will be necessary to attract additional funds, Nilov noted. He assured that the question was worked out, and the source of financing was determined.
“within the framework of this procedure it was possible to highlight additional funds so that all the obligations were fulfilled. In any case, since this decision is made, it means that it was found on it,” the chairman of the State Duma Profile Committee emphasized.
Second Indexing
According to Nilov, the indexation of pensions by 8.9 percent is still not enough in order to talk about raising the level of pension provision as a whole. “Indexing is only an increase due to the fact that inflation occurs. But the rise in prices for essential products and medicines shows that inflation against these categories of goods is much higher than 8.6 percent. But it is better than the 5.9 coefficient. which is indexed pensions from January 1, “- summarized the deputy.
In order to talk about raising the level of pension provision, the second indexation is needed, the Nilov is convinced. This measure is already provided, it will be carried out after 2025. “While the retirement system is in the transition period, therefore only one indexation is carried out – January 1. So it will be until 2025, after the indexation will be held on January 1 and April 1. We believe that when the Pension Fund is a prophobular, then it will be possible to talk about the level. Pension support, “concluded a deputy.
The average pension in Russia after the execution of the instructions of President Vladimir Putin on indexing will grow by 1.4 thousand rubles. Such an amount called the Deputy Committee of the Committee of the Federation Council on Social Policy Elena Bibikov.
In December, Putin, during a large press conference, answered the question about the plans for indexing pensions above the level of actual inflation. According to the head of state, the government will do everything to fulfill the promises of past years about pensions.
For indexing insurance pensions in 2022, an additional funding in the amount of 150-200 billion rubles is needed at a level not lower than actual inflation.
