Polish soldier Emil Chechko, who escaped in Belarus in mid-December, said that his colleagues killed more than 240 refugees from the Middle East, who were trying to get into the European Union. This was announced on January 12. The Belarusian Investigative Committee (SC) reported.
Chechko told the investigators that from June 8, 2021 “took part in organized murders in the border strip and near the settlement of Semyuzuvka,” and also witnessed such crimes.
“Among the dead were refugees who followed the Polish border to Germany, including women and children, as well as two volunteers who provided to foreigners. According to the serviceman, he knows about the murder of more than 240 people,” says SC.
Chechko said that the bodies of the killed Polish security forces were buried in specially dug holes in the forest.
Belarus intends to inform about the “international structures and authorized bodies of the Middle East, Afghanistan”, as well as give a “principled legal assessment of all criminal actions of Polish security officials.”
