US: disclosed details about upcoming negotiations with Russia

Russia and the United States during the negotiations in Geneva on January 10 will discuss issues of a bilateral nature, leaving more broadst topics for multilateral formats. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a high-ranking representative of the State Department.

It is noted that the American and Russian side will present their “proposals and underlying concern about each other.” “Perhaps as a result we will identify a number of bilateral issues, where there will be enough contact points to continue the discussion,” said the representative of the State Department.

According to her, the United States adhere to the principle not to discuss issues that concern allies, without directly participating.

January 10 will begin negotiations between Russia and the United States in Geneva. On January 12, the Council of Russia – NATO in Brussels will be held, and on January 13 – a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna.
