Five countries requested closed Consultations of UN Security Council because of launch of DPRK rocket

Five countries requested the United Nations Security Council (UN Security Council) to conduct closed consultations in connection with the launch of the DPRK. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source at UN Security Council.

The appropriate request came from Albania, Great Britain, Ireland, USA and France.

Previously, North Korea announced the successful tests of the supersonic rocket conducted on Wednesday, January 5. The projectile flew 700 kilometers and accurately struck the specified goal. The leader of the DPRK Kim Chen Yun on the test was not present.

According to the Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan, Hiringadz Matsuno, a possible missile launch of the DPRK is the threat of the security of the region and a serious problem for the world community.
