Six hotcaps put up the perimeter of the capital of Kazakhstan – Nur-Sultan. This was announced by the head of the Russian police department of Yerzhan Sadenov, RIA Novosti reports.
So, the blocks are in the directions of the cities of Karaganda, Koschy, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, as well as villages of Corgazhyn and Astrakhanka. According to Sudenov, at the moment the situation in the capital is under full control.
Earlier it was reported that the checkpoints appeared near the residence of the President of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan. The ways of entry to the residence were born with concrete blocks, there were police cars with all flashing beacons in front of them.
On January 2, protests began in Kazakhstani cities due to the increase in gas prices for cars from 60 to 120 tenge. Later, they turned into disorders with the requirements of the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev from politics, holding new elections and the dissolution of parliament. The most significant collisions occurred in the former capital of Alma-Ata.
