Residents of Nur-Sultan gathered in the queue at the Department of “People’s Bank of Kazakhstan” (Halyk Bank) to rent cash in ATMs, reports Telegram-channel “Sputnik Kazakhstan”.

As the source noted, people began to make money massively, as this is the only open financial and credit organization. The second day in the capital there is no Internet, because of this, stores refuse to buyers in non-cash payments.

Internet and messengers in Kazakhstan began to disconnect due to rallies. Residents blocked What’s App and Telegram.

NetBlocks service noted that the country is located in the midst of the integration of the nationwide Internet. Riots in Kazakhstan broke out on Sunday, January 2, against the background of a significant rise in price of fuel for cars – from 60 to 120 tenge (from 10 to 20 rubles) per liter.

On Wednesday, January 5, the authorities introduced a state of emergency.
