Tokayev displaced Nazarbayev from post of head of Security Council

The President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev during the appeal to the nation was dismissed from Nursultan Nazarbayev and stated that he was under control the Security Council of the country instead of him. On Wednesday, January 5, RBC writes in its Telegram channel.

The head of state also stated that in the situation with protests intends to “act hard.”

“This is a matter of security of our citizens who turn with numerous requests to protect their life and life of families,” Tokayev said and expressed confidence that the people will support him.
