The authorities of Kazakhstan announced a decrease in the price of liquefied gas for cars in the Mangystau region up to 50 tenge or 0.11 dollars (8.17 rubles) per liter after meeting with protesting against increasing fuel prices. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the government.
The decision made a government commission, which arrived at the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan and held a meeting with activists gathered at the Square of Yantmak in the city of Aktau.
“The meeting was announced by the decisions taken during the negotiations with the initiative group of the city of Aktau, namely, a decrease in the value of liquefied gas and the price of 50 tenge per liter in the Mangystau region as part of the social responsibility of the NC KazMunayGas JSC,” says in the message.
January 2, in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan, motorists came out on protest shares against rising gas prices for cars. They demanded a reduction in the cost of liquefied fuel, which sharply increased from 60 to 120 tenge (from 10.1 to 20.3 rubles) per liter. In some cities, the protesters also called on the first president of the Republic of Nursultan Nazarbayev to leave politics.
