Kazakhstan: participants of “gas” protests broke through police

In the Kazakhstan city of Atyrau, the participants of the protests against the growth of prices for liquefied gas broke through the police officer and began to gather on the square. It is reported by KazTag.

It is noted that before that the security forces tried to overlap the road of a large column of protesters, but people managed to break through the cordon and gather in the crowd on the city square.

In addition, the participants of the action began to interfere with the movement along the roadway in protest against what is happening the detentions from the security officials inferior to the number of protesters.

January 2, in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan, motorists came out on protest shares against rising gas prices for cars. They demanded a reduction in the cost of liquefied fuel, which sharply increased from 60 to 120 tenge (from 10.1 to 20.3 rubles) per liter. In some cities, the protesters also called on the first president of the Republic of Nursultan Nazarbayev to leave politics.
