Participants of “gas” protest in Kazakhstan called for order

Representatives of Akimat (Administration) of the Mangystau region in Kazakhstan called on the “gas” protest participants to solve issues in the legal field. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

During the meeting with the audience, representatives of local executive bodies called for citizens to conduct a constructive dialogue, the agency was told in the press service of Akimat. Also officials “explained the need to comply with public order, as his violation can lead to the threat of life and health of the population.”

Earlier it was reported that the protesters in the Kazakh Zhanaozen were driven from the central square of the Nurlan Nurlan Nurlan Nogaeva and his subordinates to negotiate the Akim. Local residents did not satisfy his statement that the authorities agreed with the owners of the gas station about some decline in fuel prices.

Protests in Kazakhstan began in the morning of January 2 in Zhanaozen and other settlements of the Mangystau region. Motorists demanded to reduce the cost of liquefied gas, which increased dramatically from 60 to 120 tenge (from 10.2 to 20.5 Russian ruble) per liter.
