Banks warned customers about risk lose bonuses for abuse

Banks surveyed by the Prime Agency warned customers about the risk to lose bonuses and be excluded from loyalty programs if abuses are fixed. Financial organizations recalled that caches and bonuses are not an additional income, but a reward for loyalty.

So, the press service of the ICD noted that the bank controls and analyzes the atypical use of cards, and also prevents various schemes of unscrupulous users. The most popular of them is to conduct fictitious operations in stores without the actual purchase of goods.

Managing Director of Sovcombank Anna Kambulova added that during abuses to customers a warning is sent, and in case of ignoring, they are excluded from loyalty programs – a person can continue to use the card, but without paying the points.

In the ICD, the rules from the bonus program allow for cancellation scores obtained by fraudulently. Russians recalled that they should carefully examine the rules not to get into the lists of unreliable due to their payment behavior.

“The abuses in the program include the unscrupulous actions of the participants contrary to the rules of the program and aimed at obtaining the maximum number of bonuses without the actual purchase of goods or the message of unreliable information about themselves with participation in the promotions of the program,” the representative of Sberbank representative explained.

Banks did not give specific examples of unscrupulous behavior of customers when using bonus programs.
