The director of the Japanese clinic “Sibuura” Hiroshue ITACUR said that coffee is one of the drinks that can reduce blood pressure. His words are given on the portal Yahoo News Japan.
The doctor noted that in coffee should be added vinegar or lemon. He advised to consume three or four cups of this drink to hold the action of polyphenols.
ITACUR stressed that chlorogenic acid, which gives bitterness and color of coffee, has a number of useful properties, including antibacterial effects in the intestine, preventing the reduction of the liver function, as well as myopia and presbyopia.
According to him, chlorogenic acid stabilizes blood pressure, prevents the development of atherosclerosis and helps burn more fat, which leads to an increase in energy consumption. It is also able to suppress inflammation in the body, reduce the formation of plaques on the walls of the vessels and protect the endothelial cells in them, while maintaining their elasticity.
Specialist added that to enhance the action of chlorogenic acid in coffee should be added vinegar. The effect becomes stronger than from vinegar and coffee separately.
Earlier it was reported that the use of cranberry juice could contribute to the normalization of blood pressure. It turned out that, in average, systolic pressure in the given drink consulted decreased by 1.52 millimeters of mercury pillars, and diastolic – by 1.78 millimeters of mercury pillar.
