Shelf life of credit stories of Russians has reduced

The shelf life of Russian credit stories from January 1, 2022 decreased from 10 to 7 years. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the amendments to the Law “On Credit Stories”.

According to the new rules, citizens of Russia will also be able to receive credit rating along with their credit history, which will be calculated on the basis of the methods established by the Bank of Russia. It is noted that before this, such estimates were developed on the methods of credit history bureaus. Such a rating allows a person to understand his chances of receiving a loan, and a credit organization – to evaluate the reliability of the future borrower. At the same time, those citizens who want to challenge information in credit history will now be able to apply to a statement directly to the bank or microfinance organization, and not to the credit bureau.

Earlier, the employee of the Department of Economic and Financial Research CMS Institute Nikolay Pereslavsky said that the bank before issuing a loan collects information about the borrower, usually the financial organization has standard procedures for verification and identifying past debts. The economist has revealed to the Russians that among such information it usually finds out the marital status, credit rating and credit history, the employer and position at work – for example, does the employee himself decorate himself or whether it does not want to dismiss him how real revenues are.
