On January 1, an experiment began on the online sale of prescription drugs in Russia, this is stated on the website of the Ministry of Industry.
Sales started not throughout the country, but only in three pilot regions – Moscow, Moscow and Belgorod regions. Now the Russians can be purchased any prescription drugs, except for narcotic and psychotropic, as well as alcohol-containing drugs with a share of ethyl alcohol more than 25 percent.
Before that, the editory drugs online could only be bought with an emergency. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the relevant law in April 2020.
After the legalization of online trading, the share of drugs sold over the Internet can grow to 35 percent, consider the association of independent pharmacies.
