Zakharov related women’s violations Taliban with a lack of money

Insidants occurring in Afghanistan cause concerns from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow in contacts with the Government of the Taliban (the Taliban movement is recognized as terrorist and prohibited in Russia) has repeatedly emphasized that the use of violence against civilian unacceptable. So the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharov answered the question of the correspondent of “Renta.ru” about the collisions of the Taliban with protesters and the violation of women’s rights in Afghanistan.

Speech, in particular, went about protest action on December 28, when the Taliban opened fire on protesters. Zakharova noted that it would not be a specific case, because Russia repeatedly condemned such actions both by the Taliban and from other governments.

At the same time, she stressed that the situation with the rights of women in Afghanistan should be considered comprehensively. The representative of the Foreign Ministry believes that the delay in providing women access to education is related to the lack of money. “It is worth noting the efforts of the government in this area: gradually begin the work of the school for girls, there are doors to universities. Deletion in this issue is caused by unwilling in this country in infrastructure, a lack of money to ensure separate training – it complies with Islamic law,” she explained. In this regard, Zakharova called on Western countries to defrost national Afghan assets – this is about nine billion dollars.

Russian diplomats have repeatedly noted that the issues of poverty, poverty and food shortages in Afghanistan are not resolved, despite the “endless financial infringement and a foreign military presence within 20 years.” To deal with this is not easy due to the “elementary lack of funds.”
