Mal authorities have the right to find reliable partners to protect against terrorists, especially after the withdrawal of France’s troops from the country. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov at a briefing, the broadcast of which leads RT.
Diplomat commented on a joint statement of 12 European countries, – Germany, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, France, Czech Republic, Sweden and Estonia – who condemned the placement of private militants Military company (CHVK) Wagner on the territory of Mali. She recommended the West to familiarize themselves with the communique of the government of the transition period, where such accusations refute.
At the same time, Zakharova recognized that due to the closure of the French military bases, the threat of the loss of part of the territories of the Malian authorities arose. By this, she explained both the reaction of the authorities on what is happening and the willingness of Russia to provide Malz residents on the state line.
Mali’s authorities themselves turned to the Russian private military company to facilitate the fight against terrorists, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. At the same time, he stressed that official Moscow has no relation to this.
