Russia: upgrade unmanned helicopters

Russian unmanned helicopters will be able to carry weapons. Holding “Technodynamics” State Corporation “Rostech” modernizes unmanned targets of helicopter imitators (VM-B). The drone will be able to perform shock and intelligence tasks. This is reported by TASS with reference to the General Director of the Holding Igor Nazova.

Work on the upgraded drone is aimed at increasing the carrying capacity, range and duration of the flight. The CEO of the Holding noted that the improved model of the VM-B will be able to carry out intelligence, to ensure the purpose designation in real time and carry weapons.

Unmanned VM helicopters can stay in the air to two hours. The maximum height of the drone flight is 2.5 kilometers. The drone target-imitator helicopter is intended for use as an imitator of aircraft of the conditional opponent.

Earlier in the press service of the Technodynamic holding, they reported that the VM-B drone batch will be submitted by the Russian military in 2022.

Unmanned targets of the VM-B helicopter simulators applied to the teachings “Slavic Shield-2021” in November. They imitated the airborne contrary.
