The representative of the Ministry of Economy of Germany Susanna Ungrad found it difficult to clarify the launch of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Permission to operate already received. We are talking about certification. For this, the Federal Network Agency is responsible,” the representative of the Ministry of Economics of Germany on Briefing said. According to her, questions about the deadlines of the certification should be directed to the regulator.
In the federal network agency, on December 29, they reported that in the situation with the certification of the operator “Northern Flow-2” at the moment nothing has changed. The representative of the agency recalled that the head of the Johen Homan regulator had previously said that in the first half of 2022, certification decisions are not waiting, and the necessary documents were not received.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, in turn, called on December 29, called the maximum term for completing the certification of the Nord-Stream-2 gas pipeline, the end of the first half of 2022. At the same time, he noted that with the desire of European colleagues, delivery may begin before the middle of the year.
He stressed that it is impossible to disrupt the implementation of the project, and gas will be supplied to Europe. According to Novak, earlier he heard many different statements that the gas pipeline will never be completed, but as a result, construction managed to complete.
According to the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller, “Northern Stream-2” is ready for work, both threads are filled with gas.
