Russia’s GDP growth accelerated in annual terms and compiled at the end of November 5.2 percent after 4.8 percent in October, in January-November growth amounted to 4.7 percent. This is stated in the review of the Ministry of Economic Development “On the current situation in the Russian economy”, published on the Office website.
The ministry noted that in November by October, the economy grew by 0.3 percent month by month with seasonality removed.
As they say in the review, construction, as well as agriculture, was made the greatest contribution to the November acceleration, as the harvest season was shifted by the end of the year due to weather conditions.
President Vladimir Putin during the annual major press conference on December 23 stated that the growth of Russian GDP at the end of the year is expected to be 4.5 percent, industrial production – five percent of the manufacturing industry – 5.2 percent. At the same time, the rate of crop decreased slightly due to weather conditions, but they will still give Russia the opportunity to ensure their population and export collected.
