Total stopped work 21 of 38 hospitals. The lack of money from medical institutions was discovered after coming to power in Afghanistan the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in the Russian Federation). This happened due to the freezing of Afghan assets with Western banks.

Now the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan is negotiating with international non-profit organizations to obtain funding for medical institutions through donations. Some NGOs agreed to finance the Afghan Ministry of Health.

Earlier in December, the UN Mission to promote Afghanistan (UNAMA) was transferred to $ 16 million to the account of the Afghan Central Bank. According to the statements of the representative of the Central Bank, these funds were aimed at extending humanitarian assistance to the Afghan population. He noted that they are engaged in the framework of the fight against poverty in the country.
