The head of the Ministry of Industry and Technical University Denis Manturov predicted that the rise in prices for cars in Russia will slow down in 2022, RIA Novosti writes. However, earlier in the department recognized that the lack of cars in the country will continue in the first half of the coming year due to problems with chip supplies.
“We expect that the growth rates for cars will decline next year,” he said. According to Manturova, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is already working with the electronic and microelectronic industry to eliminate the deficit of electronic elements. The head of the department also concluded that in 2021, domestic cars went up by 5-8 percent, and foreign cars – up to 20 percent.
In Avtostat, they emphasized that such a rapid growth of the vehicle was not from the crisis 2014. According to analysts, the recommended retail prices increased by 24-25 percent, and dealer (taking into account previousness) – more than 35 percent. Among the main reasons for the rise in price “Avtostat” called the lack of cars, the rise in prices for metal products and logistics services, as well as inflation.
In the current conditions of the Ministry of Industry, also proposed to limit the maximum markup of official autodiets when selling new cars even during periods of peak demand. The department stated that they intend to organize such an agreement between the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (Road) and the Association of automakers.
