The diplomats of eight foreign countries are present at the lawsuit in the Moscow City Court, where the lawsuit on the elimination of the Memorial Human Rights Center is considered (recognized in Russia by the NPO-INoageth). “There are diplomats from the Embassies of Spain, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, USA and Germany,” said Oshefnikov.
Earlier it was reported that Western politicians criticized the decision of the Russian Court. US Department of State PRESENTS NEW PRAIS stated that Washington condemns the decision. In Berlin, considered the court deprived the right to vote victims of oppression and repression.
The court decided to liquidate the “Memorial” on December 28. The reason for lawsuits the prosecutor’s office called a repeated violation of foreign legislation. The center was engaged in the study of Soviet repression, the rehabilitation of victims and the help of their families.
