In order to prevent strong growth in gasoline prices, the Russian authorities have developed a set of measures. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak in conversation with RBC.
According to him, the price is influenced by the growth of costs and excise taxes. For the leveling of these factors, proposals were developed on the adjustment of the fuel damper. They were supported by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishoustin, told Novak.
Vice Prime Minister noted that in 2021, the indicative price was reduced by 1800 rubles and it was planned that it would recover on this amount from January 1, 2022. However, this could affect retail prices, so it was decided to refuse this recovery, Novak stressed. The level of compensation will also be increased from the difference between the export price and the indicative price of gasoline from 68 percent to 83 percent.
In addition, it is discussed to increase the gasoline sales standard on the stock exchange from 11 percent to 12 percent.
Earlier Novak stated that in 2022 it will be a comfortable price for oil 65-80 dollars per barrel. He explained that it was specially taken by a large range, because volatility is not excluded on the market.
