Salary at the minimum minimum wage level (minimum wage) or below are 2.5 percent of Russians working on large and medium-sized enterprises. The smallest share of such employees lives in the resource-producing regions of the North and the Far East, and the greatest – in the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District, report “Izvestia” with reference to Rosstat data.
Almost 690 (689.8) thousand Russians received a salary in 2021 in the amount of minimum wages and below. In Rosstat, this indicator was associated with part-time employees. The agency also called the number of violations of legislation when paying for labor: their number can reach no more than 0.2 percent of 2.5 percent of cases.
In 2019, in 2019, the share of Russians receiving salary lower or at the level of all-Russian minimum wage was 2.9 percent, or 775 thousand people. In addition, employees who entered 2.5 percent of cases are hypothetically working in several organizations and are counted only in one, and in the amount of more minimum wage. In 2021, a little over 33 million Russians worked on large and medium-sized enterprises. The total amount of labor in the country reaches 75.1 million people, and employed – 71.2 million.
Earlier in Russia, they found a new way to combat unemployment. From 2022, employers will be able to receive three minimum wages for hiring young employees under the age of 30.
