Issue of desktop Lumina 1.6.2

Published Release of the desktop environment Lumina 1.6.2 Developed after the termination of the development of Trueos in the framework of the Trident project (Distribution of Void Linux). Environment components written using the QT5 library (without the use of QML). Lumina adheres to a classic approach to the organization of the user environment. The composition includes a desktop, application panel, session manager, application menu, environmental setting system, task manager, system tray, virtual desktop system. The project code is written in C ++ and extends under a BSD license.

Fluxbox is used as a window manager. The project also develops an Insight’s own file manager with such features as tab support for simultaneous work with multiple directors, accumulation of links to Favorite directories In the Bookmarks section, the presence of a built-in multimedia player and watching photos with Slideshow support, means for controlling ZFS Snaps, support for connecting external handler plugins.

Among the changes in the new release:

  • disabled the Lumina-CheckPass utility, designed to verify the correctness of password entry in applications such as the screen keeper. This utility is evolving for Lumina 2.0, not ready and in version 1.6.1 was included by mistake.
  • In the Lumina-FM file manager, the option is returned to open the selected root file.
  • from PC-BSD / Trueos / Project-Trident moved the QSUDO code, a component to provide graphic access to Sudo functionality to run tasks with elevated privileges.
  • is given the ability to configure application panel icons, by analogy with the start menu icon.
  • eliminated an error without allowing you to activate the window of the Fluxbox windows in Lumina-Config.
  • Increased Lumina-Config window size.
  • Added Assembly scripts for Fedora, Slackware and Gentoo Linux.
