Chinese scientists have developed artificial intelligence (AI), which is able to charge with an accuracy of 97 percent based on the oral description of the case. It is reported by the newspaper South China Morning Post.
New technology has already been tested in the People’s Prosecutor’s Office of the Pudong district in Shanghai. Scientists are confident that their development will reduce the daily burden on prosecutors, allowing them to focus on more complex affairs. In their opinion, the system is capable of replacing prosecutors to a certain extent in the decision-making process.
Artificial intelligence “studied” based on more than 17,000 cases discussed from 2015 to 2020. The charge of the digital prosecutor makes it possible depending on the thousand characteristic features that its system recognizes during the analysis of the description of the case.
Already now, artificial intelligence can nominate charges of the eight most common crimes in Shanghai. This list includes credit card fraud, the organization of gambling, dangerous driving, intentional injury, preventing the performance of official duties, theft, fraud, as well as the “sorry disconnection and provoking of trouble.”
According to scientists, in the future, the digital prosecutor will be able to make allegations and less common articles.
Earlier, an international group of scientists described a new method for learning artificial intelligence – with the help of nickel and hydrogen oxide. Experts found out that nickel oxide has the ability to imitate the most basic features of animals in teaching. This compound can be used using hydrogen in creating future computers.
