London Police released attacker to Belarusian embassy

The United Kingdom Police released a man from custody, who was arrested for an attack on the Belarusian Embassy in London. This is reported by TASS with reference to Scotland Yard.

In the police, they said that the arrested was released and is under investigation. Scotland Yard added that the investigation of the case continues.

December 20 Advisor to the Belarusian Embassy Andrei Mishevich spoke about the details of the attack. According to him, the conflict started after the activists tried to throw the building with eggs. “People obviously were in a state of alcoholic intoxication. We, as far as possible, tried to calm them away. And later, after the arrival of the police, one of the attackers hit the fist in the face of the consul,” the diplomat told.

December 19 became aware of the attack on the Belarusian Embassy in London. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic stated that the affected consul took urgent medical care. The attack was committed by a group of young people who called themselves opponents of the President of the Republic of Alexander Lukashenko.
