In the Test Complex of the Voronezh Rocket Engineering Center, which is included in the integrated rocket engine building structure, headed by NGO Energomash State Corporation Roscosmos, successfully carried out firing tests of the regular autonomous ignition system of the reusable oxygen-methane rocket engine RD-0177. It is being developed at the enterprise as part of a state contract for the creation of a basic launcher for promising deviations.
Tests were held with the participation of representatives of the state corporation Roscosmos and the Progress Rocket and Space Center, which highly appreciated the results of the work performed.
Experienced Sample of the RD-0177 engine with a nominal bit of 100 tons is developed in KBCH under the state contract with Roskosmos within the framework of the design work “Creating a new generation missile engines and basic elements of march engines of promising deviation tools” and is intended for the development of technologies for creating oxygen – Motor engines with the possibility of repeated use for promising deviations.
The company has performed a sketch design, developed working design documentation, carried out model tests for the study of the processes of ignition and mix formation, the manufacture and carrying out autonomous conversion tests of individual nodes and machinery of the prototype engine.
