A new method of treating hemorrhagic stroke is proposed

Russian scientists from Moscow State University developed a new way to combat the effects of hemorrhagic stroke – hazardous hemorrhage into the brain. This is reported in a press release on the SDUNUKI website.rf.

researchers proposed to introduce substances produced by mesenchymal stem cells into the affected brain tissues. These biologically active compounds launch the mechanisms for regeneration and update most of the body tissues, which makes them a potential tool for therapy of the effects of hemorrhage into the brain. Until now, the treatment of stroke has reduced blood clots, which contribute to the ignition of nerve tissues, but this method is not always applicable.

In the course of the experiment, scientists caused hemorrhagic stroke in 98 rats, and then tried to reanimate rodents. To do this, the damaged section of the brain introduced a nutrient medium, in which the mesenchymal stem cells of rats or a person were grown. The best effect was introduced by the commissioning of rodent stem culture: all animals survived, and a week, signs of defeat almost disappeared. In the control group (without treatment), 30 percent of animals died, and 20 percent were in serious condition.

However, this approach is melting, since the substances were introduced immediately after the stroke, which is impossible in practice. In the future, scientists plan to explore which time therapy remains effective.
