Toyota Motor, the official representative of Toyota in Russia, recalls more than nine thousand cars of Toyota Venza due to possible problems with the driver side airbags, will be referred to on the Rosstandard website.
These cars have a safety airbag sensor installed in the front door from the driver. It is connected to the electronic control unit control system “SRS” with a twisted pair in the wiring harness laid from the door to the car body through the sleeve.
Due to the difference in the length of the harness of the wires and the sleeve, a strong bending of the wiring inside the sleeve is possible. “With certain types of collision, the side airbags from the driver may not disclose that increases the risk of injury,” the department notes. Repairs for owners of these cars will be free.
Earlier it was reported that Toyota Motor is going to present tens of models of electric vehicles by 2030. We are talking about 30 models. Meanwhile, Toyota sales collapsed by 20 percent. In October 2021, the company released 627,452 vehicles – 26 percent less than a year ago.
