The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) warned the general director of Fresh Auto dealership and vice-president of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association of Denis Migal about the inadmissibility of statements that may violate the law on competition. This is stated on the website of the department.
earlier in some media appeared by Migal’s statements that prices for cars next year will grow. The FAS suspected that such statements can provoke an unreasonable rise in prices for cars. “Organizations are forbidden to coordinate economic activities if it can lead to the establishment or maintenance of prices,” they emphasized in the department.
Earlier it was reported that the legality of the refusal of some official road dealers in Belarus to sell cars to the Russians will be checked by specialists of antimonopoly authorities. On the Belarusian warehouses there are many sought-after car models. They are sold without surcharges at the cost recommended by manufacturers, and the prices themselves are often lower than Russian.
In December, the Ministry of Industry Wanted to limit the maximum markup of official autodiels during the sale of new machines. The authorities performed the limit to act even during periods of peak demand.
