“Progress MS-19” passed vacuum tests

On the Baikonur cosmodrome, tests for the use of MS-19 Transport Cargo Ship in the vacuum chamber of the installation and test case No. 254 were completed.

Specialists of the Rocket and Space Corporation “Energy” named after S.P. The Queen and Space Center “South” (branch of the center of exploitation of land-based space infrastructure facilities are included in the state corporation “Roscosmos”) performed a cycle of pneumatic testing of the Progress MS-19 ship, which lasted from December 16, 2021.

Automated monitoring of compliance with high requirements for the tightness of the compartments and side systems of the ship in the ground conditions passed without comments. Today, December 21, 2021, the transport ship “Progress MS-19” was transported back to the workplace for future pre-flight training.

Start of the Soyuz-2.1A carrier missile with the MS-19 Progress Ship under the program of the 80th Luggage Mission of the International Space Station is scheduled for February 2022 from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
