Gas price in Europe installed a two-month record, reaching $ 1800 per thousand cubic meters, indicate the data of the London Exchange ICE.
At the time of publication of the January futures for the supply of gas to the Netherlands Hub TTF cost 158.8 euros per megawatt-hour, or $ 1888.61 per thousand cubic meters. Growth compared to the level of closure of the previous trading session amounted to 9.2 percent.
Level 1800 dollars per thousand cubic meters has become a record over the past two months – from the beginning of October, when the price approached two thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters.
The rise in price of the last days occurs against the background of stopping supplies through the gas pipeline “Yamal-Europe” and their reversal in the reverse direction from Germany to Poland.
Previously, Gazprom reserved only 21.6 percent of the capacity of the gas pipeline towards Europe on December 21 and 23 and refused to purchase additional transit capacity through the territory of Poland.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov called the stopping of supplies to “Yamalu Europe” “purely commercial history”, not related to the export gas pipeline “Northern Stream-2”.
