COVID-19: Facing Omicron Variant, Morocco forbids New Year’s Celebrations

The Government has announced a series of measures that will be applied on the night of December 31 to January 1, including a midnight curfew at 6 o’clock.

Morocco announced, Monday, December 20, the prohibition of New Year celebrations, in the context of restrictions to combat the propagation of CIVID-19. The Government has announced a series of measures that will be applied in the night of 31 December at the age of January, among which include the prohibition of all New Year celebrations, that of organizing parties in Hotels, restaurants and tourist facilities, the closing of restaurants and cafes at 11:30 pm and setting up a night curfew from midnight to 6 hours.
