EU countries should develop a common approach as part of the fight against offenses related to the publications of unlawful content in the Telegram messenger. With such a call, the head of the Ministry of Justice of Germany Marco Busmann, RIA Novosti reports.
“Joint actions will produce a greater impression on Telegram operators than if every country is trying to act alone,” the official said. In his opinion, the EU countries can communicate through the Telegram representative in the region, which the company will appoint not to lose a solvent European market.
In this bushmann sees the possibility of a compromise between the Telegram director Pavel Durov and the governments of European countries. On the one hand, the messenger will not lose their advertising earnings on the European market, and on the other hand, the EU countries will be able to receive information about offenses through the company’s representative.
