MIC of China accused the United States in providing a serious negative impact on the global strategic balance and stability, as well as the process of international arms control and disarmament. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the PRC Foreign Ministry.
Commenting on the exit of Russia from the Agreement on the Open Sky (DON), China’s Foreign Ministry pointed out that Washington unilaterally denounced the agreement, “despite the concerns of other parties to the contract and the international community,” which was the reason for the exit of Moscow. The department also drew attention to the fact that Russia made attempts to save the contract, but did not receive a response of the United States and other parties.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry called on the United States “with adequate attention to the concerns of the international community, to discontinue the above negative actions and take concrete actions to maintain global strategic stability, as well as international and regional peace and security.”
Earlier, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on NATO to abandon ideological prejudices and the mentality of the Cold War and more for the sake of international and regional security, as well as to make more efforts to maintain international and regional security and stability.
On December 18, Russia officially emerged from the Open Nebu Treaty, having suspended the fulfillment of its obligations under this agreement.
