American General proposed to strengthen NATO troops in Romania and Bulgaria

American General Tod Walters, who holds the High Commander-in-Chief of the NATO United Armed Forces (ABS) in Europe, proposed to expand the presence of alliance troops in Romania and Bulgaria. This is reported by TASS with reference to Der Spiegel magazine.

According to the German edition, with such a proposal, Walters made a secret video conferencing in which representatives of NATO partner countries took part.

It is reported that the US Army General urged to strengthen the presence of an alliance on the Eastern flank, as used to be done in the Baltic countries and Poland, during the ENHANCED FORWARD PRESENCE mission.

Earlier it was reported that German Defense Ministers and the United States held bilateral negotiations. Lloyd Austin and Christina Lambrecht discussed joint opposition to threats and “destabilizing Russia’s destabilizing actions in Eastern Europe.”
