British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is experiencing a “dangerous moment” after the conservative party led the historical defeat in the additional elections in Northern Shropshire. It is reported by the British Edition Independent.
Malcolm Rifkind, who held the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs at John Major, in a conversation with the publication predicted that Johnson could lose support for deputies.
“This is a small step for humanity and a rather big leap for Boris Johnson. For the first time in 200 years, this place was not returned to a member of the parliament from Tory,” commented Malcolm Loss conservatives in additional elections.
At the same time, the politician noted that due to the defeat in the election, Johnson will not put forward the conditions for resignation. He added that in the UK there is no potential successor to the current prime minister, although there are several potential candidates.
