The Paris elected commission of elected representatives, seized by Anne Hidalgo, had pointed out a conflict of interest between its public and private activities. Friday, December 17, the deputy in charge of the Mayor PS of Paris Anne Hidalgo, Hermano Sanches Ruivo, resigned from his duties after the opening of an investigation for suspicion of money laundering of tax fraud.
“I note that the political conditions for the normal exercise of my mandate as Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Europe are no longer met,” said the 55-year-old elected. “I decided to resign from my assistant position, the time to devote myself exclusively to my Defense,” says Sanches Ruivo who stands “at the disposal of justice” and said to “good faith”.
The Town Hall seizes the Ethics Commission
Everything left An article by Marianne evoking, a week ago, the fact that an elected representative close to Anne Hidalgo would be “In delicacy with justice”. The weekly quite quoted no name, and Anne Hidalgo’s team did not see any priori who could not be. But after investigation, the first indications appeared, and last Thursday, the town hall wanted to make public, in a statement, the elements of which it has.
The elected in question, Hermano Sanches Ruivo, is one of the thirty-four assistants of Anne Hidalgo, and one of the most discreet. Aged 55, this native of Alcans (Portugal) was elected Councilor of Paris in 2008, then re-elected in 2014 and again in 2020 on the list of Anne Hidalgo. It has appointed it in the Deputy Fouter, responsible for issues related to Europe, its longtime specialty. According to its declaration of interest transmitted in February 2021 to the High Authority for the transparency of public life, it is not paid by the town hall, and does not have any other professional activity.
However, these secondary paid activities have been detected by justice, which auditioned it. After revelations made in the press on this investigation, the Paris town hall seized the elected commission of elected representatives of the Paris Council. Thursday, it was this commission which returned to Anne Hidalgo an opinion “pointing a conflict of interest between his private and public activities”, as well as differences between the declaration of interest of the elected and that made during his Hearing.
Three starts
Since the beginning of the mandat, three Anne Hidalgo assistants have already left office. Christophe Girard was dismissed from his post of “Mr. Culture” as a result of the matzneff affair, in which he was not indicted. Pierre Aidenbaum, suspected of rape, had to resign. Célia Blauel, she chose at the end of November to leave professional politics, “for strictly personal reasons”.
In addition, in November, an old elected, Jean-Louis Missika, Deputy Urban Planning at the first term of Anne Hidalgo, had had to resign from two missions for Novaxia and Gecina Real Estate Groups. In the case of Novaxia, the Ethics Commission had found it that it was a “major ethical problem”.
