“Oleg Novitsky award was awarded for significant achievements in the development of space and a great personal contribution to the strengthening of international relations,” reported the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Oleg Novitsky space training began in 2007. Before enrolling in the cosmonaut detachment, he mastered several types of aircraft and had about 700 hours. Two years later, Oleg Viktorovich successfully completed a course of general-copier training, passing state exams with the evaluation “excellent”. Already in the next, 2010 O.V. In his second space flight, Oleg Novitsky went on November 17, 2016 as the commander of the Soyuz MS-03 ship and the ISS-50/51 flight engineer together with the Astronaut of Tom Sand and Astronaut Nasa Peggy Whitson. In accordance with the flight program, Oleg Novitsky fulfilled the program of scientific and applied research and experiments, supported the efficiency of the ISS and carried out work on its retrofitting equipment delivered by cargo ships.
