Faced with the strong recruitment difficulties, the employers of the hotel-restoration posters his desire to break his piggy bank. At the second trading session with the employee unions, the Union of the Crafts and the Hospitality Industries (UMIH), the main employers’ sector, the National Independent Group (NDI), the National Group of Hotel Chains (CNG) and the National Trade Union of Thematic and Commercial Restoration (SNRTC) announced on Thursday, December 16, a new salary grid that ensures 5% higher minimum compensation at the SMIC. This will result in “an average increase of 16.33% compared to the current grid”, specifies a common statement.

This grid, validated by the entire patronal college, will be subject to the signing of the trade union organizations of employees from Monday and until January 17th. It ensures “a minimum earnings of 5% to the SMIC at the first level of the grid”, according to the representatives of the employers, who speak of a “historical effort”.

“We are far from the account, the attractiveness of the trades of this sector requires a significant investment, both the accumulated delay in compensation is important,” said the CGT (first union of the branch) in a Communiqué.

“We can not give more in a health context that hardens, with companies still very fragile, not out of the tunnel: you have to know how to stop a negotiation, we did the maximum,” said Thierry Grégoire, the negotiator of the UMIH.

“A sad parody”

“The grid will start at 11,01 euros, compared with 10.57 euros, at the beginning of January, lamented Nabil Azzouz, the FO negotiator (third organization of the branch). That accounts for only 4% increase for the first level, knowing that 80% of the workforce are found in the first two levels. “

The employers’ organizations claim to have proposed a “social calendar for the first half of 2022, in order to continue the discussion on the attractiveness of the branch”. “The Patronat refused to commit to its contents, then we asked the department to formally integrate the e month, the remuneration of cuts and the increase of Sunday,” added m . Azzouz.

“After fifteen years of inconsistent social dialogue, this negotiation is a sad parody designed to endorse the billions of euros of public aids that have been in the infusion sector for two years”, finally believes the CGT.
