Gas supplies to Europe by “Northern Stream-2” will begin after the certification process is completed. Such a condition of deliveries called the representative of the Ministry of Energy of Germany Susanne Ungrad, reports RIA Novosti.
“Gas can only go through the pipeline when the certification process is completed by the Federal Network Agency. This is a clear legal prerequisite,” she noted. Earlier, the head of the Federal Network Agency Germany Johen Homann said that he did not expect the completion of certification in the first half of next year.
Ungrad added that the policy does not affect the certification process. According to her, the launch of the gas pipeline belongs to the issues of administrative regulation.
Earlier it was reported that the Federal Network Agency of Germany (BNetza) will not be able to certify “Northern Stream-2” in the first half of 2022, the completion of the process is postponed at least half a year.
Certification of the NORD STREAM 2 AG gas pipeline operator, which was supposed to be completed no later than January 8, 2022, was suspended in mid-November. After that, the company reported that he intends to create a subsidiary independent enterprise in Germany, which all assets and management rights will receive.
