The Russian Foreign Ministry said a categorical protest against the extradition of the Russian citizen Denis Treaschaeva, accused of money laundering, from Germany in the United States. This was announced at the briefing the official representative of the Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov, the correspondent “Renta.ru” reports.
The diplomat called Washington’s efforts on the arrest of Russian and his violent movement to the American territory a political abduction, aimed at demonstrating the US assigned law. “Russian law enforcement agencies did not receive any appeals from the United States related to the proposed criminal activities of a Russian citizen,” she indicated. According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, if the United States has evidence of the fault of the treasury, they must be provided to the Russian side.
Zakharova stressed that Moscow has repeatedly discussed with Berlin the situation with the detained Russian. According to her, against the background of a long politically motivated hunt for citizens of the Russian Federation in the United States, Treaschairs cannot count on a fair trial, so his business should be considered in Germany. The diplomat noted that the lawyers of the detainee are planning to challenge the decision on extradition.
“If the FRG authorities go to the extradition of the Russian citizen, Germany will actually become an accomplice of a serious anti-Russian action,” Sakharov concluded. She stated that this decision would be taken into account with the further interaction of Moscow with Berlin.
Previously, the Court of Appeal of the German capital decided to issue the Russian musician and DJ DJ Treaschaeff Denice on charges of money laundering. Vice-President of the Russian Branch of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, Ivan Melnikov reported that Russian was not notified of the meeting on its extradition.
