The nine-month certificate validity period was recommended by the European Centers for Prevention and Control of Diseases. Also, the European Commission recommended to obtain booster doses of the vaccine in six months after the introduction of the main part of the drug.
The ECs stressed that restrictive measures such as tests and quarantines should not be applied to the holders of certificates. Restrictions are also required to free children up to 12 years and citizens committing “important trips.”
Previously, on November 25, it became known that from March 1, 2022, the European Union would allow the entry to anyone who had surpassed Coronavirus or was brought by the WHO approved by the European Medicinal Agency (EMA). The rules of entry will depend on the status of the traveler, and not from the country of departure.
