The new coalition government of Germany will build relations with Russia in the example of the European Union (EU), without deviating from the merger course. This is stated in the text of the coalition contract.
“Russia plays an important role as an international actor. We know the value of strong and stable relationships and will strive to preserve them (…), taking into account the various perception of threats and focusing on the general and consistent EU politics in relation to Russia,” – Specified in the document.
In addition, the new government of Germany told about future policies regarding international treaties. Thus, Germany will continue to insist on the entry into force of the Treaty on measures to further reduce and restrict strategic offensive arms (DSNV) between Russia and the United States.
Previously, the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDPG) finally agreed with the “Soyuz90 / Green” and the Free Democratic Party (CSPD) of the Coalition Agreement, which will be the basis for the work of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Party submitted a document on the press conference on November 24.
